Prof. Dr. med. Marcos Tatagiba is Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University Hospital Tübingen, Germany. He is an internationally renowned expert in skull base, vascular, and neuro-oncological surgery, with a special clinical and scientific focus on the microsurgical treatment of cavernomas, particularly in eloquent and deep-seated brain regions. Prof. Tatagiba trained under Prof. Madjid Samii in Hannover and has led the Tübingen department since 2003. He has performed thousands of complex neurosurgical procedures and authored countless scientific publications.

Prof. Dr. med. Ulrich Sure is Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery at University Hospital Essen, Germany. He is an internationally recognized expert in vascular, neuro-oncological, and epilepsy surgery, with a special focus on the surgical treatment of cavernomas, including brainstem and eloquent area cavernomas. Prof. Sure has contributed significantly to the development of surgical classifications and decision-making frameworks for cavernous malformations.

Dr. med. Sophie Shih‑Yüng Wang is a board-certified neurosurgeon in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University Hospital Tübingen, Germany. She completed her specialist training in 2025 and holds an MD in Experimental Neuro-Oncology from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Her research focuses on skull base neuro-oncology and vascular neurosurgery. Dr. Wang is serving as the Congress Secretary of the European Cavernoma Meeting 2026.
